Norboard offer a range of specialist liners, that can be applied to the majority of our products, giving our customers even more choice and the option to produce tailor-made boards with specific qualities.
This range includes:
Universal Liner – This is a 157gsm liner made from 32gsm extrusion of PET upon 125gsm White-top Kraft. It is fully over-printable using all print processes, suitable for PVA and hot-melt gluing, resistant to water, grease and oil and is recyclable. It is freezer compatible to -18°C, suitable for microwave ovens to 1000W and conventional ovens to 220°C.
Norboard Design – Design is a new twin blade coated White-top Kraft liner available in a 175gsm basis weight. It is for the high quality lithographic market, where the added strength and performance of a Kraft liner, over a coated White lined chipboard, can be necessary to achieve the carton performance. Also being a Kraft based liner it is inherently advantageous for cutting and creasing.
Kemilite – This is a light coated White-top Kraft liner available in 130gsm to 180gsm basis weights. It is another high quality graphical option for flexography especially suited for printers with drying facilities. It is also an option for certain litho applications. This is especially useful for the Retail Ready market.
All of the above liners can also be preprinted, ensuring a high quality print finish.
We also produce a fluted greyboard that is an alternative to unlined chip board. This can be used for book binding, cable reels, stationery files, picture backs, furniture backs and litho lamination.
All in all, we can produce whatever you need, whenever you need it, as long as the order quantity is sufficient!
